Classic Jazz at the Philharmonic Jam Sessions 1950-1957 is a monumental archival release, ten CDs capturing the raw electricity, virtuosity, and spontaneity of Norman Granz’s legendary concert series during its most explosive decade. The box opens with ““Norgran Blues” wich isn’t just a title, it’s a nod to Granz’s Norgran label, one of the key imprints he used to release these sessions before Verve.
